Dress Rehearsal with Birmingham Royal Ballet 21st.June

To combine the explosive music of "Carmina Burana" with the originality of David Bintley's choreography, makes for an edge- of -the- seat,  ballet experience, although it was originally choreographed in 1995.
Almost like a strange world of "Vicars and Tarts", add in soaring music and the ex- cathedra choir, wonderfully zany costumes, moves and rhythms showing many influences, you have ballet for a wide audience. What they do with floaty, white sheeting is simply stunning. Not to mention the white pants!

Newly opened theatres at Stratford

Last week  I finally visited the newly reopened theatres in Stratford. They look amazing and I have booked tickets to see a play in The Main and The Swan.
After three years for the rebuilding, I am very excited that they are now back in action.
I have been going to the theatre in Startford since my childhood. Banquo's dripping ghost, when I was sitting in the front row on a school visit, has remained with me as total horror. David Warner's "Hamlet" was another mesmerising experience.
Stratford remains a big part of my love of Shakespeare and literature; I am so pleased I live close by.

Next Exhibition

New Vic Theatre, Stoke.
July 11th.-31st.2011

This will be my third exhibition at the New Vic.
The work forms part of the Journey theme and reveals the mystery of Morocco in a series of montage images. A sense of time, reflected in ancient art and objects in their dazzling settings, has remained with me and been the inspiration for these painings.
